With years as a college design instructor, Blue is a skilled graphic designer. She brings that wealth of expertise to her passion, three-dimensional artwork called relief sculpting.

Immortalizing a fleeting moment or mood is her passion. She loves the beauty of a toddler’s belly laugh and wrinkled skin of a beloved person. The intimacy of a mother and child or a shared secret. The beauty of feathers on an eagle's wing, or the dichotomy of weathered wood and dancing daisies, or the unexpected dynamics of an age old rock face. For her, it's all about the unnoticed but meaningful moments of the journey.
Blue is a beach bunny. Since her early childhood spent on Georgian Bay, she has loved the smell and sound of water, its colours and moods, and the unloading of all life’s heaviness that happens in its presence. And then she discovered the power of the ocean to lift you above the weight of life. The ocean infected her life and now literally colours her world.

Because of the freedom of the ocean, Blue strains at the reservedness life has developed within her and seeks to bring that freedom into her everyday. Through her work, she invites others to allow a little wild into their lives too.
She is fascinated with moments of unrestrained joy, of unashamed beauty, of unreserved loved, uncontained freedom, and liberated lives living life to the fullest. As a result, she is creating pieces for several series – wild joy, wild beauty, wild love, wild freedom and of course, wild ocean. She hopes you will connect with the unexpected and find yourself stepping into the liberated, contagious, unrestrained world of wild.

Blue's work predominantly focuses on two forms. The first is relief sculpture mounted on various surfaces like wood panels, bottles and stones, or as wall hangings. Like standalone sculptures, the bottle sculptures offer changing views and the challenge of making every view interesting. The second form is three dimensional table sculptures. Clay, of course, is the predominant feature although other media is sometimes invited to play a supporting role.
